Volume VI of 16mm Series!
This month is some “Heavy NM Shit," programmed by local legends Keif Henley and Derek Caterwaul. A 1969 NBC News-produced film titled The Most Hated Man in New Mexico, profiling infamous and charismatic Rio Arriba County land grants and Chicano activist Reies López Tijerina. The 30 minute film will be followed by a panel discussion with Moises Gonzales, Leona Morgan, and Brett Bakker, who will help us peer beyond the racist/classist NBC News lens of the film and learn more about our local history. Black coffee, and refreshments served!
