ABOUT THE FILMS:
Daguerre or the Birth of Photography
A look at the birth of photography from Daguerre to Niepce to Talbot. This documentary gives a brief overview of the technologies and ideas of early developments by Nicéphore Niepce, Henry Fox Talbot, and Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre and the continued evolution of photography.
Physics: Photography – Tool of Scientific Exploration
Scientific photography records a world of violence and beauty – soaring space probes and attacking sharks frozen in time; voyages inside the human eye, along the arteries and veins, and through the body’s invisible energy patterns. All of these images and others are captured in this fascinating survey of photography at work in science, engineering, and medicine.
