Since 1995, Bryan Konefsky has supported moving image artists from around the world through his work with Basement Films and his Experiments in Cinema film festival. This exhibit marks the first major survey of Konefsky’s own creative work in New Mexico. The gallery exhibit will consist of paintings, conceptual work, performance and moving image installations. Konefsky’s work explores issues such as identity, community and place, political corruption and urban decay, notions of masculinity – from the personal to widening circles of the political. 


Bryan Konefsky is a cultural worker dedicated to the advancement of undependent, experimental media arts through his work as a moving image artist, teacher, lecturer and film festival director.
